Top of the Dial Chronicles

There was (and is) no shortage of radio stations playing pop music, classical music, and even jazz in Los Angeles. And for "wierd" stuff, there were the college stations between 88 and 92 on the FM dial.

106.3 KYMS

KYMS played Contemporary Christian music. There was at least one other LA-area station that played CCM (KBRT-740) starting in the late 70's. KYMS transmitted from Orange County, so reception in L.A. County not always possible. Changed formats to all-Vietnamese in 1995.
